Contemporary American artist. Born in the midwest, Cockrane moved to California to hone her artistic talents. She is self-taught, having been influenced by her father, a prominent artist in his own right. Cochrane has experimented with many different painting techniques including texturizers, unique papers, and other mixed media. Her passion for botanicals, florals and still lifes are represented through her subtle color palette of muted south-west earth tones. Cochrane's work has been exhibited throughout the United States in many one-woman shows.
