David Foss's work is distinguished by a diverse combination of emphatic brushstrokes and Pre-Raphaelite expressionism. Influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites, as well as by M.C. Escher, Foss's style is characterized by a superb rendering of his subjects using light to detail, hsape, and define. Foss attended the University of Maine and the School of Visual Arts in New Youk and studied under Colores International. As an observer of society in general, Foss disregards conventional standards of artistry and protocol to produce work which is contemporary, yet transitional. His work has been exhibited at New York Art Expo, Los Angeles Art Expo, Highpoint (North Carolina), and private showings throughout the United States and Europe. |
